Welcome to St. Michael the Archangel Parish Welcome to the web site of St. Michael the Archangel parish, located in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. We are a vibrant, multicultural urban Roman Catholic parish. We welcome everyone – parishioners, potential parishioners and visitors. Our parish vision is “to be a living, vibrant parish that welcomes and nurtures all members of the community.” We seek to achieve that vision through the broad range of liturgies and ministries available in the parish. Weekly masses are offered in both English and Spanish. A Filipino mass is celebrated once a month. Multicultural masses are offered on special occasions and, in addition to a liturgical choir composed of members of the many different parish communities, we are also blessed with Hispanic and Filipino choirs. The parish operates a strong Catholic elementary school serving grades K-8. It also offers before and after school program serving the children of employed parents. And religious education classes are offered in both English and Spanish.
